702 sampling rods, which can be up to 3 meters long, were not previously available with an integrated pressure relief system.
\nA+ Corporation has just developed a pressure reduction system for these rods: the outlet pressure can be reduced to 55%, 30% or 17% of the inlet pressure. This prevents condensation and guarantees the integrity of the sample .
\nThis is not a pressure control system (pressure regulator), but rather a \"decompressor.\" Pressure reduction is achieved by means of a system of pistons located at the base of the tube (1 piston for the 55% option, 2 pistons for the 30% option, and 3 pistons for the 17% option).
The output pressure will not be constant due to the impulse of the piston(s). If the analyzer or downstream system requires constant pressure, a pressure regulator must be added before the analyzer.
\nSeveral pistons connected in series can reduce pressure sufficiently to obviate the need for a heated regulator or heated line.
\nIn many cases, they can even eliminate the need for an unheated regulator at the sampling point.

With this new system, the 702probe will definitively replace the old GPRiL sampling probes.
\nAs a reminder, the GPRiL probe consisted of 2 components: the ihousing and the probe. It could be inserted and removed under pressure, but required the use of a special tool. The foot valve enabled the membrane to be changed without having to depressurize, but the probe and housing had to be removed before the piston could pass through the pipe.
\nThe 702 can be effortlessly inserted and removed from the pipe without the need for tools, and can be retracted prior to the passage of a piston.
\nThe 702 rod is designed to take a sample from a specific depth in a pressurized pipe. All lengths from 12 to 120 inches (30 centimetres to just over 3 metres) are available on request to perfectly suit your specific application.
