SOCLEMA's sampling solutions are also available with special coatings such as Silconert® 2000 . Our sampling probes, filters, separators and sample transport tubes can be supplied with a Silconert® 2000 treatment.

This technology, which has been in use since 1987, avoids interactions between the active compounds circulating in the flux and the surface in contact with this flux, in various types of applications, such as analysis, the semiconductor industry or high-corrosion applications.

Silconert® (also known by its former name Sulfinert®) is a process that deposits a layer of inert silica to render the surface in contact with the flux inert, i.e. chemically non-reactive. This enables better process control and more consistent sampling and analysis results. The patented Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process bonds the coating to stainless steel, alloy, ceramic or glass, making it a durable, high-tolerance coating, even at extreme temperatures and pressures. This coating erases asperities or surface defects, eliminates surface phenomena (adsorption and relarging), enables calibrations to be carried out more quickly and gives full confidence in the analysis results.

The SilcoNert® 2000 final surface is the most inert coating on the chromatography market.

SilcoNert® 2000 doubles the hydrophobicity of stainless steel and is commonly specified for applications involving moisture analysis.

The Silconert® 2000 coated tube provides an almost immediate response and does not require the analysis system to be reprimed.
