GENIE membranes are well known in the sampling world.

\n

Patented, they protect sampling and analysis systems from liquids. GENIE membranes are inert, absorb no components and do not influence the composition of fluids passing through them.

\n

For gaseous samples:

\n

You can choose between Type 6 membranes, which offer the best protection against all types of liquids, and Type 7 membranes for higher process temperatures (up to 149°C), which only reject liquids with high surface tension.

\n

Type 6 or Type 7 membranes are fitted to all GENIE membrane probes, Series 100 separators (GENIE 170, GENIE 120, GENIE 123, GENIE 133) and coalescing filters (AVENGERS 33M and 38M).

For liquid samples:

\n

Only the Type 8 membrane is available, withstanding temperatures up to 149°C and separating immiscible liquids from liquid hydrocarbons. This membrane is used on Series 200 separators (GENIE 225).

\n

 

\n

If you have a GENIE product with a Type 2 or Type 3 membrane:

\n

Type 2 and Type 3 membranes were previously available. However, they were prone to tearing during installation and have gradually been replaced by Type 7 and Type 8 membranes. Type 7/8 membranes, known as \"reinforced\" membranes, are thicker, stronger, and easier to handle.

\n

Type 2 membranes can be replaced by Type 7 membranes, and Type 3 membranes by Type 8 membranes. However, process compatibility must be checked. In case of doubt, please contact us and provide us with the fluid composition for verification.
