GENIE membranes are <strong>inert</strong>, <strong>absorb no components</strong> and do not influence the <strong>composition of</strong> fluids passing through them.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><u><strong>For gaseous samples:</strong></u></p>\n<p>You can choose between <strong>Type 6 </strong>membranes, which offer the best protection against all types of liquids, and <strong>Type 7 </strong>membranes for higher process temperatures (up to 149°C), which only reject liquids with high surface tension.</p>\n<p>Type 6 or Type 7 membranes are fitted to all GENIE membrane probes, Series 100 separators (GENIE 170, GENIE 120, GENIE 123, GENIE 133) and coalescing filters (AVENGERS 33M and 38M).</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><u><strong>For liquid samples:</strong></u></p>\n<p>Only the <strong>Type 8 membrane</strong> is available, withstanding temperatures up to 149°C and separating immiscible liquids from liquid hydrocarbons. This membrane is used on Series 200 separators (GENIE 225).</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>If you have a GENIE product with a Type 2 or Type 3 membrane:</strong></p>\n<p><strong> Type 2 and Type 3</strong> membranes were previously available. However, they were prone to tearing during installation and have gradually been replaced by Type 7 and Type 8 membranes.<strong> Type 7/8</strong> membranes, known as \"reinforced\"<strong data-wg-splitted> membranes</strong>, are <strong>thicker, stronger, and easier to handle</strong>.</p>\n<p>Type 2 membranes can be replaced by Type 7 membranes, and Type 3 membranes by Type 8 membranes. However, process compatibility must be checked.
