TRANSFER LINES FOR SAMPLES FROM RENEWABLE ENERGIES
Transferring a sample from renewable energies
Because tracing solutions are essential to the efficiency of your installation, SOCLEMA offers you O'BRIEN's TRACEPACK range, an efficient, cost-effective response to the needs and constraints of renewable gas sampling.
+In sampling lines, transfer lines must enable the sample to be transported to the analyzer without altering its representativeness.
If there is a risk of condensation or adsorption (this risk depends on the composition of the gas and the temperatures the line will be subjected to), the transfer line must be heated to a temperature at least 10°C above the condensation temperature. For measurements of water content and trace compounds, lines should be heated or insulated, depending on ambient conditions.
The transfer line should be as short as possible, and its diameter as small as possible to reduce transit time. As a general rule, the length of the sampling line should not exceed a few tens of meters, and its diameter should be between 3 and 6 mm (1/8 to 1/4 inch).
316L stainless steel should be used for the gas transfer line.
