Sample conditioning systems are the final stage in sample processing. They are very important in ensuring the proper operation of instruments and analyzers. These systems filter out liquids and particles, and control the pressure and temperature of the gas sample.
Our remote conditioning cabinets have been specially designed to condition natural gas samples so that they are clean, dry and at the right pressure. They are custom-built to your specifications.
Visit conditioning and expansion cabinet for gas analysis shown opposite is an example of what we can offer you. It is installed after the tapping (sampling via a tube or a GENIE 760 membrane-free sampling tprobe). The enclosure is insulated and heated to prevent condensation forming at low ambient temperatures. It has a window that allows you to check upstream and downstream pressure without having to open it. The window is small to limit heat loss to the outside. The door is held open by hinges. The pressure regulator is a heated single-stage pressure regulator. A safety device is fitted in front of the regulator to prevent any risk of burns. Two pressure gaugesOne upstream and one downstream of the regulator control the pressure. A vented safety valve is fitted downstream of the expansion valve to cap outlet pressure in the event of valve malfunction. A purge pot is used to recover the liquids filtered by the filter. Condensate must be drained manually, and regularly. It is preferable to insulate, and sometimes even trace, the line before and after the conditioning box to avoid any risk of condensation.
This box, combined with the other sampling recommendations, ensures that the gas sample arriving at the analyzer is free of liquids and particles, and at the right pressure. It preserves the integrity of the sample and protects the analyzer.
Main features of the box:
- Carbon-filled polyester/fiberglass enclosure with air circulation vent, glazed, insulated, heat-insulated and antistatic
- Room heater
- Membrane coalescing filter
- Liquid drain
- Heated expansion valve with operator protection
- Relief valve with external vent
- Inlet and outlet shut-off valves
- Upstream and downstream pressure gauges
- ATEX or out-of-scope equipment
- Wetted materials in 316 stainless steel
Advantages:
- Sample integrity preserved
- Analyzer protection
- Made-to-measure
- Meticulous finish
- Weatherproof protection
- Easy installation and maintenance
- Little or no maintenance
SOCLEMA offers other types of remote conditioning enclosures, for example when sampling with a sampling probe with membrane (type GENIE 750 or 702) and/or with integrated pressure regulation (type GENIE 755).
