GENIE 750 and GENIE 755 probes are sampling probes designed to sample network-quality natural gas.
These probes can be inserted and removed from the pressurized pipeline by means of a full-opening valve, without the need for special tools. They are available with threaded or flanged process connections, in a wide range of materials of construction (Duplex SS 205, Hastelloy® C276, Inconel® 625, & Monel® 400), and with SilcotTek® coatings. These sampling probes are available in various lengths, from 8 to 48 inches, i.e. from 20 cm to 1.22m, and their insertion length is adjustable according to the length of insertion required. They are fitted with a membrane at the tip; the membrane separates liquids and particles to ensure that the sample is free of them.
Checking and changing the membrane can also be carried out easily without having to depressurize the line.
The difference between the 2 models lies in the fact that the GENIE 755 probe features an integrated pressure regulation. The pressure regulator is integrated into the pipe, just after the membrane. The gas flow in the pipe heats the pressure regulator to prevent excessive cooling by the Joule-Thomson effect, thus preventing condensation during expansion.
