Secure and optimize your sampling systems with autonomous temperature control
In sampling and analysis systems, temperature control is a key issue to guarantee reliable measurements and protect sensitive instruments.
SOCLEMA supplies ThermOmegaTech self-acting thermostatic valves, 100% autonomous solutions that protect equipment without the need for electricity or complex automation. The technology behind these valves is based on kerosene wax actuators that respond to temperature variations by changing phase, enabling precise flow control without the need for an external power supply.
Protecting analyzers from overheating

Analyzers are particularly sensitive to temperature rises, especially in the event of malfunctioning sample coolers.
HST (High Sample Temperature) valves provide passive safety: as soon as the temperature exceeds a critical threshold, they automatically cut off the flow of sample to the analyzer, preventing any damage to the equipment or measurement drift. Once the temperature has returned to normal, the flow is re-established without manual intervention.
Fluid temperature control

Valves HAT(Heat Actuated Trap) valves are thermal control valves designed to open when temperatures drop, to keep systems warm during the cold season. Autonomous, they regulate fluid temperature according to predefined thresholds. They can be used to control fluid temperatures in sampling systems, but also in glycol heat tracing systems, tank heating coils, condensate recovery systems and countless other applications.

Temperature control valves TV/HAT (Tube Valve/Heat Actuated Trap) operate in the same way as HAT valves, but are used in conjunction with tracing systems using pre-tracing tubes. These versatile valves are ideal for replacing conventional steam traps on winter tracing, instrument tracing, condensate system freeze protection, process tracing and other applications requiring temperature-based in-line flow control. They are particularly useful for maintaining a gaseous or liquid sample under precise conditions prior to analysis.
Maintain temperature in analysis and instrumentation cabinets
Instruments must be protected in fully enclosed and insulated enclosures to avoid physical or climatic damage. Even inside these enclosures, instruments can be damaged by freezing or overheating. Too high a temperature can cause fluids to vaporize, or alter their viscosity or color. Conversely, temperatures that are too low can cause fluids to freeze or thicken, leading to physical damage and malfunction of sensitive equipment.
For many samples and instruments, temperature affects measurement accuracy. The best solution is to equip chambers with systems designed to maintain an internal temperature within a specified range, guaranteeing optimum performance.
The most common methods for controlling enclosure temperature are electrical or steam tracing. Steam tracing uses a small-diameter copper or stainless steel tube installed inside the enclosure, or a heating element. Steam circulates in this circuit, heating the interior of the enclosure. Steam is an excellent heating medium, but without proper control it can cause overheating.
ThermOmegaTech's self-actuated steam temperature control valves are designed to provide safe, economical control of the heating medium, automatically regulating the cabinet's internal temperature. These self-contained, temperature-activated valves simplify steam flow control and eliminate the risk of instrument overheating.

The valves TV/SC-A, TV/SC-I, TV/SC-IR and the ITCH system act as temperature controllers to provide and maintain the optimum temperature in a cabinet.
